The Story of Hope & Aaron
Following their marriage and graduation in June 2004 they moved back home to serve their local area and also help care for the emotional needs of the foster kids who lived with the Wyse family. In 2005, the Wyse family needed to travel back to the States for a couple months and Aaron & Hope moved into their house to be house parents. After they came back, Keith shared his vision to have a foster home for OI children (Brittle Bone Disease). After praying together, the owner of the compound offered a house for free, a work visa for Keith, and together the two families started Agape in 2006.
In November 2013, Aaron got an offer to serve a Chinese Church in the US. When they were away from Agape, Keith also passed away. It was difficult for Agape without a leader and things began to deteriorate. In 2019, Hope & Aaron would return to rebuild the trust among all the kids and the team. They supported the kids during the pandemic and with God’s mercy everyone grew and developed into the capable young adults they are now.
In 2023, their family moved back to the US with confidence. With the guidance of our Lord, the young adults who grew up at Agape can run it very well. Hope continues to be an integral part, consulting with them and finding local resources in the States to help the needs of Agape,
It's been almost 20 years since Agape was started. Hope & Aaron are the witnesses of God’s almighty mercy to Agape.
