AGAPE FAMILY LIFE HOUSE

A JOYOUS RETURN

Agape Family Life House was the original inspiration for starting One Life Saved Ministries.  God has continued to open doors for short term missions as well as supporting the orphanage directly.  This year, Hope and Stephen were able to return to Agape after four plus years away.   A returning missionary shared, "Agape is a place to let people know God is good, God is there, and God is almighty. God loves and cares for the orphans; God is with them in all circumstances." Agape Family Life House is a place for life change!

MADE IT HOME

Wow, Hope made it! Hope had four transfer flights and finally she made it home to Agape Family Life House on May 9th.  Although Hope lives in the US now, she is still an integral part of the Agape operations.

HOPE'S REFLECTIONS
Guess who met me at the airport and picked me up --- Geno and Kelly (the baby boy and baby girl I first met at Agape). When I got in Geno’s car, I knew he was not a baby boy
anymore. He is a grown up young man who is taking over responsibilities at Agape and the Bakery.  I got home with a grand welcome party which made me feel so loved by them and I forgot all the tiredness immediately.
Guess what I did in the following days? Eating and talking, just like the communion that Jesus did with his disciples. Eating together is the reunion. Each one cooked their specialties which made me feel like eating a feast each day.

Even though feasting is a joy, building up and strengthening relationships was the main purpose of the trip. I got the opportunity to visit Harrow International school and the U.S. embassy in Beijing to talk to the supporters. I also met Dr. Wu and talked about the further surgeries for Joy and Jason.

STEPHEN ARRIVES

The most exciting part was that Stephen also joined the trip with Hope two weeks later.

As a family member of Agape, they made his favorite Chinese food together —dumplings -- and had many walks in the compound together.

He also went to a bazaar to sell baked goods with Debora on a rainy day. They did a great job together and the patrons loved their food!

Stephen and Hope also had very special tasks for this trip---to bring needed supplies to them!  Hope was able to get a local medical supply company to donate a couple of walkers and thanks to your support of Agape, Stephen was able to purchase & bring a new wheelchair for Sunny.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT.  PLEASE CONSIDER DONATING TO OUR SHORT TERM MISSION FUND.
